Parking & Shuttle Services


Parking at  the Baton Rouge Beach is extremely limited, and we request that participants refrain from parking in the yards of residents next to or near the course route. We encourage taking advantage of our park and shuttle services. Shuttle buses will run 5-6:15am on race day from host hotel. 


The Course


Two simultaneous races:

Full Marathon & Half Marathon

The course is a certified Boston Marathon qualifier. It is a flat and fast, double-loop course. It starts and ends at the Baton Rouge Beach and passes through the LSU campus, around the LSU lakes, and alongside waterfront estates. | View Course Map

Race Amenities


Water, replacement drinks, and assorted fruits are available throughout the course.


All registrants will receive a free tech t-shirt. 


All full marathon runners receive a pair of Running Chicken Track Club socks.


All of our runners have an eating problem because our chefs will meet you at packet pick-up and will follow you to the finish line. Expect piles of jambalaya, gumbo, pizza, salad, and all things Louisiana yum. If the chef is feeling frisky, expect alligator sauce piquant!


Medals are awarded for all race finishers.

Awards will given to:

  • Overall winners in full marathon & half marathon
  • Age group awards in full marathon & half marathon

Award ceremonies start at approximately:

  • Half Marathon: 9:45 a.m.
  • Full Marathon: 11:00 a.m.

Official Race Charities

All funding goes to the official race charities of the Cancer Services and the YMCA.
